Czech Parliament to decide on freezing motorway vignette fees and extending one-day validity
Czech MPs will vote on Wednesday to stop automatic yearly hikes to motorway vignette prices and to let one-day vignettes be valid for 24 hours from purchase.
The upcoming vote in the Czech legislature aims to keep the annual vignette price at CZK 2,570 for future years, eliminating the scheduled increases. Short-term vignette rates would also stay unchanged. Lawmakers are also set to discuss extending the validity of one-day vignettes to a full 24-hour period instead of ending at midnight. The session will include other measures on pension savings, higher benefits for older retirees, and broader public access to transport data.
