On Friday, President Pavel is scheduled to receive Jordan’s king and queen in Prague, opening with a state ceremony at the castle. After the ceremony, the two heads of state will hold a private discussion, and their respective delegations will conduct bilateral talks. The agenda ends with a media briefing.
Pavel’s earlier May 2024 trip to Jordan included remarks that the kingdom is the most stable regional partner. In March, he spoke by phone with the king about Middle-East tensions and thanked Jordan for helping evacuate Czech citizens. Czech ambassador Andrea Kučerová has said the two nations are deepening cooperation in defence, security, energy, agriculture and health, describing Jordan as a strategic partner.
