Czech public worries about AI-driven scams, deepfakes and cyber threats

A Czech AI Association poll shows that over three-quarters of respondents fear fraud enabled by artificial intelligence, with many also uneasy about deepfakes and cyber attacks.

The survey of 1,407 adults found that 77.5% are concerned about AI-assisted scams, 72.3% worry about convincing deepfake videos and images, and 70.6% fear cyber-attacks. Only about a quarter believe they could spot a realistic deepfake. Respondents also strongly support labeling AI-generated content that is publicly available. Additionally, more than 70% favor teaching children about AI fundamentals and safe usage in schools.
