Czech Television to cut 12% of its workforce by 2030, says director

The public broadcaster, which currently employs around 2,900 people, will gradually dismiss 12 percent of its workforce between now and 2030. The move follows a long-term plan approved by the channel’s board and is presented as a cost-saving measure. Chudárek said the reductions will help build a reserve and prepare the organisation for possible funding instability. Savings will affect programme production, operational expenses and the timing of new investments.
