Dacia debuts next-gen electric Spring and new Striker crossover at Paris show

Romanian brand Dacia revealed a second-generation electric Spring built in Slovenia and a C-segment Striker crossover made in Turkey during the Paris Motor Show.

During the Paris Motor Show, Dacia presented two new models: a second-generation electric Spring and the Striker crossover. The new Spring will be assembled in Slovenia on the same chassis as the Renault Twingo, measuring 18 cm more than its predecessor and priced from €17,900, with deliveries expected in early 2027. Production shift to Europe is intended to improve eligibility for EV incentive programs that have excluded Chinese-built cars.

The Striker, aimed at the C-segment, will be manufactured at Renault’s Bursa plant in Turkey, priced under €25,000 and offered with hybrid, LPG-hybrid and all-wheel-drive powertrains. Dacia plans to launch four additional electric models by 2030, targeting two-thirds of its sales to be electrified by that year. The brand also announced hybrid upgrades for the Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger, while noting a modest sales dip in the first half of 2026.

Why it matters

The launches expand Dacia's EV and hybrid lineup, targeting European subsidies and growing demand for affordable crossovers.
