Daniel Lubetzky offers four practical steps for founders to dodge burnout
Daniel Lubetzky, the KIND Snacks founder and Shark Tank investor, outlined four habits founders can adopt to stay energized while pursuing aggressive growth.
Recalling the grueling schedule that once left him running KIND Snacks on just a few hours of sleep, Daniel Lubetzky emphasized that ambition must be paired with clear boundaries. He noted that AI’s always-on capability can tempt founders to stretch themselves thin across multiple projects. To counter this, he suggests four tactics: first, allow deliberate downtime after intense work bursts; second, set a recurring slot each week to fully disconnect, akin to a personal Shabbat; third, create short, tech-free moments during the day to let the mind digest inputs; and fourth, mute all but essential notifications, keeping only one emergency channel open. These strategies will be discussed in his "Build or Break" podcast launching on September 3.
Why it matters
Founders who ignore burnout risk health issues and reduced productivity, affecting their companies and employees.
