Danni, a 25-year-old service centre administrator, failed to meet the judges’ standards, with Nigella Lawson calling the cookies overly cinnamon-laden and Paul Hollywood describing them as powdery.
The criticism resulted in Danni becoming the first baker sent home. Meanwhile, Tom, a hairdresser from West Yorkshire, excelled in the technical iced-gem challenge but struggled to complete his elaborate mosaic, though his flavors earned him praise. Clara’s tiramisu-inspired biscuits impressed Hollywood, and Tom ultimately earned the Star Baker title despite his show-stopper difficulties. The competition continues next Tuesday on Channel 4.
