Danny Dyer and Cynthia Erivo among latest hosts for Saturday Night Live UK

Danny Dyer and Cynthia Erivo among latest hosts for Saturday Night Live UK Rivals star Dyer will front the comedy show on October 10, where he will be joined by singer-songwriter Sasha Keable as the musical guest, while Happy Valley star Norton will host on October 17, accompanied by The Streets. Wicked star Erivo will lead the show the following week on October 24, in an episode which will feature music by rock band Blossoms.

The stars are expected to open the show with a monologue and take part in skits throughout the 75-minute episode, following in the footsteps of recent hosts including comedian Jamie Demetriou and Chicken Shop Date presenter Amelia Dimoldenberg. Dyer, 49, is known for playing Mick Carter in one outlet soap EastEnders, but since leaving the show in 2022 he has been praised by critics for his dramatic roles such as in Rivals. The actor recently won a Bafta TV Award for his role in hit comedy Mr Bigstuff, and has also appeared in films such as Human Traffic, The Football Factory and Marching Powder.
