Danny Elfman Announces eclectic 2026 North American tour and new album

Danny Elfman, best known for scoring films such as "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Batman," told The Post that he is midway through recording a new album set for release early next year. To accompany the record, he will embark on a fall 2026 North American tour that runs through Oct. 4, playing at venues ranging from traditional concert halls to festivals and outdoor stages. A highlight includes a performance at SummerStage in Central Park on Sept. 15.

Elfman said the concerts will fuse his iconic movie themes with fresh songs, creating a deliberately mismatched collage of styles. He referenced his long-standing collaborations with directors Tim Burton, Sam Raimi and Gus Van Sant, as well as recent appearances with rapper A$AP Rocky and a cello concerto in Vienna. The tour aims to showcase the contrast between his whimsical scores and heavier solo work, offering audiences an unpredictable live experience.
