DAZN purchases EverPass to bring NFL Sunday Ticket to global venues

DAZN has agreed to acquire EverPass Media, gaining the commercial distribution rights for the NFL’s Sunday Ticket and expanding its U.S. presence.

DAZN announced a purchase agreement for EverPass Media, the firm that supplies licensed sports content to commercial establishments such as hotels and bars. By acquiring EverPass, DAZN will control the commercial arm of the NFL’s Sunday Ticket package, which includes every live out-of-market Sunday regular-season game, and will leverage EverPass’s U.S. streaming and technology assets to grow its business globally. The transaction does not reveal a purchase price, and the current EverPass investors - RedBird Capital Partners, TKO Group Holdings and 32 Equity, the NFL’s strategic investment arm - will receive minority stakes in DAZN.

EverPass will be renamed DAZN for Business, with CEO Alex Kaplan continuing to lead the unit and taking on a broader role within the parent company. Existing EverPass clients will experience uninterrupted service. Shay Segev said the acquisition adds a proven commercial distribution platform and premium rights portfolio that complement DAZN’s expanding U.S. operations.

Why it matters

The acquisition gives DAZN a major foothold in U.S. commercial sports streaming and access to the NFL’s flagship package.
