Death toll climbs to 15 after Himlung Himal avalanche, eight more bodies retrieved
Rescue teams have recovered eight additional bodies from the Himlar Himal avalanche, bringing the confirmed death count to 15.
Eight more corpses were retrieved on Thursday from the avalanche zone on Himlung Himal in Narra Bhoomi Rural Municipality-5, Manang, raising the confirmed death toll to 15. The bodies, found near the base camp, were flown by helicopter to Phu village and Chame for legal processing. One high-altitude worker linked to Himalayan Holidays is still unaccounted for.
