Following the catastrophic floods on August 26 in the Bhotekoshi region, officials have recovered 1,386 bodies across eight districts, yet only 104 have been identified and returned to families. Two additional deaths occurred among patients undergoing treatment in Kathmandu. The disaster response has rescued 13,728 people so far, with 339 patients being treated in 19 hospitals. Meanwhile, 3,761 flood survivors are housed in 37 holding centres, the largest numbers being in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. Authorities continue to search for the 5,130 individuals still listed as missing.
