CROSS-SPECTRUMBROAD COVERAGE

Declassified documents detail silent black‑triangle UFOs over secret US bases

A set of ten declassified Defense Department documents includes an account of three federal agents who recorded a large matte‑black triangular object about 4.6 metres across near a protected installation. The object rose straight up, hovered for roughly 20 seconds and then moved horizontally at fighter‑jet speed, covering about 2.4 km in three seconds before vanishing without sound. Other records describe at least three incidents in which similar black triangles were seen traveling as fast as 1,800 mph over highly classified U.S. military sites, with witnesses noting the lack of sound, exhaust or visible propulsion. A Department of War memo characterises the craft as having a seamless, featureless exterior and no discernible control or intake structures, while an FBI report notes a distance of 1.5 miles covered in three seconds.

How this was covered

  • Left-leaning outlets covered this 5h later
  • Right-leaning coverage is the most divided on this story

Why it matters

The release shows the government is making information about unexplained aerial phenomena near sensitive sites publicly available.

How the sides frame it

MODERATE AGREEMENT

All camps report a declassified sighting of a silent black triangular craft with unusual performance, but right-leaning coverage stresses extreme speed and possible foreign or non-human origins, while left-leaning and centrist coverage emphasize the mystery and lack of conventional characteristics.

LEFT

Frames the incident as an eerie, unverified UAP event that defies normal aircraft traits and highlights the silence and lack of heat signature.

CENTER

Frames the story as a Pentagon-released report of an anomalous black triangle lacking conventional aircraft features observed near a sensitive site.

RIGHT

Frames the sighting as a startling, high-speed black triangle that may exceed known technology and hints at foreign or non-human involvement.

The left emphasises

  • “absolute acoustic silence”
  • “no separate heat source”
  • “unidentified aerial phenomenon”

The right emphasises

  • “traveling as fast as 1,800 miles per hour”
  • “question whether any foreign nation possessed such capabilities”
  • “claims of non-human bodies and alien craft”
