Delhi gym trainer Imran linked to series of crimes culminating in model's murder
Police disclosed that Mohammad Imran, a gym trainer, faces prior charges for a 2018 POCSO case, a 2021 stone-slab assault, and was arrested after a gunfight following the stabbing death of model Muskan.
Investigators revealed that Mohammad Imran, also known as Aqib, has a criminal history dating back to a 2018 POCSO filing for alleged sexual harassment of a minor in Tilak Nagar, along with charges of hurt, stalking and outraging modesty. A separate case from 2021 records his alleged attack on a man with a stone slab, causing serious head injuries and a six-day coma. In August 2026, Muskan, a 21-year-old Delhi University student and part-time model, was stabbed multiple times at her home after confronting Imran about harassment; he then took her iPhone and fled.
A large police effort tracked him to Rajouri Garden, where he opened fire, prompting officers to return fire and wound him in the legs before his arrest. Authorities are now examining his past cases, movements and digital evidence as part of the murder investigation.
