Delhi High Court reassigns 83 judges, including those on high-profile cases
The Delhi High Court ordered a major reshuffle, moving 83 judicial officers, among them judges handling several high-profile investigations.
On Monday, the Delhi High Court issued an order that reshuffled 83 members of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service and Delhi Judicial Service, affecting judges involved in several high-profile matters. The directive transfers 28 DHJS judges and 10 DJS judges, while 45 DJS judges who have completed training receive new postings. Among those moved is special CBI judge Sushant Changotra, previously hearing a money-laundering case tied to businessman Robert Vadra and a fake-medicine bribery case involving IPS officer Deepak Gahlawat.
Judge Dheeraj Mor, formerly handling coal-block allocation irregularities, is now assigned to an NDPS court in Saket, and Manisha Khurana Kakkar, who presided over the Shraddha Walkar murder trial, is also transferred. Their slots are taken by Shivani Bansal and Satyabrata Panda. Additionally, the court of Special Judge (PC Act) at Rouse Avenue has been eliminated, with pending cases to be redistributed among other CBI courts.
