Delhi launches month-long Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan with ₹13,000 cr projects
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced a month-long welfare and infrastructure drive starting September 17, featuring projects worth over ₹13,000 crore across Delhi.
Rekha Gupta revealed that Delhi will commence a month-long "Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan" on September 17, celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year tenure in public office. The campaign will unveil or lay foundations for infrastructure works valued at more than ₹13,000 crore, spanning water, roads, power and tourism projects. Activities will include a mega blood-donation camp targeting 2,500 units, senior-citizen health screenings, organ-donation promotion by SOTTO, and intensified Yamuna-cleaning drives, with ₹8,000 crore earmarked for river-related works.
Across all 70 constituencies, three-day registration camps will help residents enroll in Delhi and central schemes, and beneficiaries will light lamps at home on the launch day. The program will also honor over 4,000 Anganwadi and ASHA workers and feature a "Sewa Jyoti Kalash Yatra" through Delhi’s 14 districts, alongside school competitions and an innovation challenge for youth.
