Delhi traffic police warn of road closures ahead of BRICS motorcade drill
The Delhi traffic police have released a public notice detailing diversions and restrictions for the BRICS Summit motorcade rehearsal on September 2.
Commuters in New Delhi are advised that the rehearsal, scheduled between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., will affect more than 35 streets across 22 diversion points. Key corridors such as Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, and Teen Murti Marg will see altered traffic flow. Drivers are urged to follow alternate routes and consider using public transport during the exercise. The BRICS Summit itself will take place from September 11-13 at Bharat Mandapam.
Why it matters
The notice helps commuters avoid delays and ensures a smooth rehearsal for a high-profile international summit.
