Dell unveils colorful, student-focused 14S laptop at IFA 2026

At the IFA 2026 showcase, Dell announced the 14S laptop, positioned below the recently released XPS 13 as an affordable option for students. The model arrives in linen, dusty rose, washed denim, and velvet green, each built with an aluminum body. Standard configurations start with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD, while higher trims can be upgraded to 16 GB RAM and up to a 1 TB drive, powered by Intel Core 5 320 or Core 7 350 Wildcat Lake chips.

It retains two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, adds HDMI 1.4 and a 3.5 mm audio jack, and offers either a 300-nit 1920 × 1200 LCD or a 450-nit 2880 × 1800 120 Hz screen. Additional student-friendly features include a 1080p webcam with Windows Hello and battery life claimed to reach 23 hours of video streaming. Pricing has not been disclosed but Dell suggests it will be close to the XPS 13’s $700 starting price, with final figures expected later this fall.
