Delta flight from Paris to Seattle diverted to London over lavatory malfunction

Shortly before reaching London Heathrow, the crew reported a mechanical problem involving the onboard lavatory, prompting an emergency declaration and an overweight landing. The plane touched down safely, and Delta maintenance staff addressed the issue on the ground.
Because the crew’s duty time had been exhausted, the flight was rerouted to New York's JFK Airport instead of continuing directly to Seattle. After clearing U.S. customs at JFK, passengers were transferred to a subsequent flight to complete their journey to Seattle. Delta did not disclose the precise nature of the lavatory fault or the repairs performed.
