Deluxe Media and Tohokushinsha Form Asia-Pacific Localization Alliance

Deluxe Media Inc. and Japan's Tohokushinsha Film Corporation have signed a non-exclusive partnership to broaden localization services throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Deluxe Media Inc. and Tokyo-based Tohokushinsha Film Corporation announced a strategic, non-exclusive partnership aimed at expanding localization capacity across the Asia-Pacific. The deal leverages Deluxe's relationships with major studios and streaming platforms alongside Tohokushinsha's decades of in-market experience in Japan. A dedicated Deluxe office has been opened within Tohokushinsha's Tokyo headquarters to streamline project coordination and improve response times.

Executives highlighted the growing need for subtitling, dubbing and other language services as premium content circulates globally. The companies expect the joint effort to create added value for clients and open new opportunities in both Japan and international markets. Deluxe, owned by Platinum Equity, traces its origins to 1915, while Tohokushinsha, founded in 1961, is listed on the Tokyo and Nagoya stock exchanges.

Why it matters

The partnership boosts capacity for high-quality subtitles and dubbing, helping global media reach Asian audiences more efficiently.
