Democratic congressional hopeful gains endorsement from activist spreading anti-Jewish conspiracy claims

Activist Adina Flores, who promotes herself as a civil-rights advocate on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Substack, has endorsed Eric Jones, the Democratic contender for California’s 4th Congressional District, praising his commitment to address women’s sexual exploitation. Flores’ posts repeatedly claim that Jews, particularly a “gay Jewish mafia,” dominate Sonoma County and funnel money to Israel, and she accuses local schools of LGBTQ-focused indoctrination.

Jones’ campaign issued a statement condemning any prejudice toward Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities, noting his wife is Jewish and his family raises children in a Jewish household. While Flores describes herself as a whistleblower forced out of government service over mask-mandate disputes, Jones centers his platform on affordability, transparency and anti-corruption, backed by progressive groups Indivisible and Our Revolution.

The endorsement has sparked scrutiny of whether Jones shares or tolerates Flores’ conspiratorial rhetoric. Jones has emphasized his personal experience with financial hardship and his support for public-school educators.
