Democratic Senate Committee Deploys $40 Million to Boost Candidates in Ten Crucial States

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee announced a $40 million “Win the Senate” program targeting ten states with pivotal Senate contests ahead of the midterms.

On Monday the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee launched a $40 million “Win the Senate” initiative aimed at bolstering Democratic campaigns in ten states with competitive Senate races. The package will fund personnel, infrastructure, training and voter-contact operations for races the party hopes to hold in Georgia, Michigan and New Hampshire and to flip in Alaska, Florida, Iowa, Maine, North Carolina, Ohio and Texas.

DSCC chair Kirsten Gillibrand and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the infusion puts Democrats in a strong position to win a Senate majority as the election approaches. The committee highlighted candidates such as Jon Ossoff in Georgia, Sherrod Brown in Ohio, Roy Cooper in North Carolina and James Talarico in Texas, while also backing newcomers like Mary Peltola in Alaska and Chris Pappas in New Hampshire. Some primaries, including those in Florida and Michigan, remain undecided, and the DSCC has not yet endorsed a candidate in those contests. The move comes roughly 100 days before Election Day, marking a major fundraising push in the final stretch of the primary calendar.
