Department of War launches probe into alleged triangle UFO footage from Colorado base

The Department of War announced an active investigation into two classified videos that allegedly capture a 100-foot triangular UFO over a Colorado military installation.

The Department of War confirmed it is "actively investigating" two classified cellphone videos that purportedly depict a 100-foot triangular UFO flying over a Colorado military base. Pentagon Press Secretary Joel Valdez explained that the recordings, captured on consecutive nights by a service member in 2023, are catalogued under the file numbers IRR1669S015524 and IRR1669S005024 and are held by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

According to sources, the footage shows the craft soaring above mountains and blending into cloud cover. No timeline has been provided for public disclosure of the material. Valdez directed interested parties to the war.gov/ufo portal for future updates. The probe comes after the administration announced a waiver of non-disclosure agreements for former government employees and contractors with knowledge of UFO programs, aiming to encourage further revelations.

Why it matters

It shows a government effort to address public curiosity and potential secrecy surrounding unidentified aerial phenomena.
