Deputy headmaster of Maurepas college placed under judicial control for child rape allegations

Authorities in Versailles have placed a 38-year-old deputy headmaster of the Louis-Pergaud college in Maurepas under judicial control after formally examining him for the rape of a student who was 14 at the time of the alleged offense. He also faces accusations of possessing child-pornographic images, with the probe covering the period from 2020 to 2026 for the images and from 2025 to 2026 for the rape. As a result, he is barred from any duties involving minors and has been suspended from his position, with a substitute appointed to the school leadership team after the Easter break.

Police detained him at his official residence and searched both his home and office. The victim was transferred to a different school at the family's request, and the new school together with the departmental education services continues to provide daily assistance to the family.
