Deputy Prime Minister orders all active fuel stations to join relief program

During a steering committee session, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar directed that every fuel station currently operating be incorporated into the prime minister’s fuel-relief scheme, and that stations found permanently closed or selling only diesel be taken off the list. He noted that the majority of pumps are already functional within the system and that users are redeeming tokens, with ongoing SMS registration via 9771.

The committee also approved SMS token redemption for locations lacking internet access. Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and the provinces were asked to submit lists of eligible stations promptly. The State Bank of Pakistan reported full settlement of payment claims received over the past three days, processing each claim on the day it arrived. Dar praised provincial administrations and the central bank for their cooperation, emphasizing uninterrupted aid to beneficiaries.
