Developer Marco Arment launches Unforgetful, a snooze-proof reminder app

Marco Arment, known for Overcast, Instapaper and a former stint as Tumblr’s CTO, announced Unforgetful, a reminder application for iOS and macOS that syncs with Apple’s native Reminders. Dissatisfied with Apple’s interface, snooze behavior, and the risk of dismissing tasks unintentionally, Arment built a solution that repeats notifications until the user marks a task as done. The app scales snooze intervals progressively while preventing an overload of concurrent alerts.

It intentionally omits tags, multiple views, or other advanced organization features, positioning Apple’s Reminders as the richer alternative for power users. Unforgetful offers built-in voice recording, lock-screen and Control Center widgets, and costs $19.99 annually. Users can disable Apple’s notifications and rely solely on Unforgetful’s persistent alerts.
