Digital Nasional secures RM5.2 billion Islamic syndicated loan to fund growth
Digital Nasional Bhd completed a RM5.2 billion Islamic term financing facility with a group of local banks, finalising the deal on 29 September 2026.
Digital Nasional Bhd announced the completion of a RM5.2 billion Islamic term financing syndicate, closed on 29 September 2026. Maybank Investment Bank Bhd led the arrangement, book-running and coordination, with CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd, RHB Islamic Bank Bhd, United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd and AmInvestment Bank Bhd participating as joint lead arrangers. AmInvestment Bank Bhd also acted as DNB's financial adviser.
The loan refinances DNB's previous government-guaranteed revolving credit facility and establishes a durable long-term funding structure to support future expansion. The event in Kuala Lumpur was witnessed by Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil and senior leaders from government, telecommunications, regulatory and financial circles, underscoring the strategic importance of the funding as DNB moves into the next phase of Malaysia's dual network framework.
Why it matters
The financing bolsters DNB's long-term financial health as it expands under Malaysia's dual network telecom plan.
