Diner spots live worm in dish at upscale Gurgaon eatery

A patron at Paul restaurant in Gurgaon filmed a live white worm inside his sandwich, prompting a viral video and the outlet's apology.

On a Sunday morning, Sulabh Mathur and friends dined at Paul restaurant, located in Gurgaon’s One Horizon Centre on Golf Course Road. While eating his sandwich, Mathur noticed a live white worm moving within the meat and recorded the incident, sharing the video on Instagram where it attracted more than 1.3 million views. Social media users condemned the establishment and questioned its hygiene practices.

The restaurant later posted an apology to Mathur, but attempts to secure additional remarks were unsuccessful. A senior official from the food and supplies department confirmed that no official complaint has been filed yet, though the agency is examining the situation independently.
