Dismissed security guard kidnaps and murders 5-year-old girl in Hyderabad gated community

On Saturday night, five-year-old Aurelia disappeared while watching Bathukamma celebrations at the Villa Orchids clubhouse in Kowkoor, Bollaram, Hyderabad. Her grandfather received a ransom call demanding 20 lakh rupees, later repeated to her father, Milton Fernandes Moses, a research scientist. Investigation linked the call to a former security guard, Vikram, who had been dismissed for misconduct days earlier.

CCTV footage captured the girl exiting the clubhouse and a man trailing her, and police later found her bound and bruised in a water sump with bricks tied around her waist. All current security staff have been taken for questioning, and drones are being used to track the suspect, with search teams dispatched to Secunderabad and Patancheru. The family has demanded justice, expressing anger over the tragedy.
