Disney+ ad-free tier jumps to $21.49 a month, fourth hike in four years

Starting Wednesday, Disney+ will charge $21.49 each month for its Premium, ad-free subscription, up from $18.99. Existing members will see the new rate on their upcoming bill, while new customers will be billed the higher amount from day one. The adjustment arrives as Pixar’s "Toy Story 5" launches on the service.

It represents the fourth consecutive year Disney has raised streaming fees in the U.S., after previous increases in October 2023 and October 2024 that affected both Disney+ and Hulu. The ad-free tier’s price has nearly doubled since it was $10.99 a month in 2023 before the fall hike. Industry observers note this pattern as part of a broader “streamflation” trend affecting subscription video services.
