Disney influencer faces online backlash over close ties with park's Peter Pan
TikTok creator Toni Kulusich, known for frequent videos with Disneyland’s Peter Pan, was bombarded with hostile comments after a viral clip sparked accusations of obsession.
Toni Kulusich, a Los Angeles native who creates Disney-themed videos, regularly films meet-and-greets with the park’s Peter Pan. After a TikTok showing her gifting the character a crocheted duck keychain went viral, the clip attracted a flood of negative remarks, including claims she was a creepy stalker and calls for her removal from Disneyland. The controversy doubled her TikTok following but also led to a Change.org petition, analysis of the actor’s body language, and the public posting of her retail-store address, forcing her manager to alter her schedule for safety.
Kulusich, who has been married for four years and works as a big-box store manager, says her interest is a harmless outlet for her inner child and that she only meets Peter Pan on seven of her last thirty visits. She defended herself by citing Disney’s own guidelines for character interactions and noted that the actors recognize her name. With encouragement from her husband and fellow Disney creators, she returned to the park, where a brief encounter with Peter Pan reassured her. Disney declined to comment on the matter.
