Documentary makers urge global distributors to postpone Gaza film screenings

The directors of the Gaza documentary “Naza” have asked distributors in 50 countries to delay theatrical showings on the anniversary of the Hamas attack.

Israeli directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, creators of the Gaza documentary “Naza,” have sent a request to film distributors across 50 nations to refrain from exhibiting the movie on the day marking the Hamas attack anniversary. Oscar Eriksson, a distributor with Folkets Bio in Sweden, reported that none of the 50 territories are presenting the film on that date. “Naza” examines civilian losses in Gaza and accuses the Israeli armed forces of deliberate mass killings, claims the military has categorically rejected.

The documentary relies on anonymous testimonies from Israeli military and intelligence sources and alleges the use of AI-driven targeting systems against civilians. A Norwegian premiere is scheduled for late October, and the British newspaper one outlet, a co-producer, plans to make the film available for free streaming later in the year.
