Less than four weeks after Dolly Parton's death, her nephew and longtime security director Bryan Seaver was removed from his role overseeing the singer's residences, museum and warehouse. A notice reviewed by TMZ indicated that Seaver's security firms would be replaced by another provider, with the change implemented immediately. Sources close to the family suggest that manager Danny Nozell and Pinnledge Bank influenced the termination.
Seaver, whose mother Cassie is Parton's sister and whose father Larry previously held the security post, expressed dismay, claiming the action seeks to exploit the estate. His representatives emphasized a continued commitment to safeguard the family and reject intimidation. The DP Dean Trust continues to manage Parton's assets, and Seaver retains a personal interest in the trust.
