Don Lemon's legal team seeks dismissal of DOJ case citing alleged misconduct

Don Lemon, alongside several local journalists, is contesting a federal indictment that accuses them of breaching the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act during a protest at a Minneapolis church. Their lawyers filed a motion seeking dismissal, asserting that the Justice Department misrepresented facts to the grand jury and disseminated defamatory statements and photographs on social media, notably from former Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The defendants have supplied video and interview evidence to demonstrate they were merely reporting. The court previously granted access to the grand jury transcripts for the defense's examination. Lemon's team now argues that the government's conduct undermines the legitimacy of the charges and could deter witnesses from testifying.
