Donald Trump Jr.'s Bahamas wedding reportedly financed by Putin-linked oligarch

Investigations reveal that Umar Kremlev, a Russian oligarch tied to President Vladimir Putin and leader of the International Boxing Association, financed key elements of Donald Trump Jr.'s lavish three-day Bahamas wedding, such as the island lease, fireworks and other expenses. Payments were routed through an IBA-affiliated Dubai entity, and the guest list featured Jared Kushner, Eric Trump and about 50 other invitees, including a contingent of Russian guests who stood apart.

Trump Jr. called the event a small, private affair and his spokesperson said Kremlev is a personal friend met through a mutual hunting acquaintance. Security experts warned that accepting such money could create a compromising obligation for the president’s son. Kremlev’s background includes leadership of the IBA, funding from state-owned Gazprom and sanctions from Ukraine, though he does not appear on U.S. sanction lists.
