Donald Trump's former Jamaica Estates home sells for $1.93 million
The Tudor-style house in Jamaica Estates where Donald Trump lived as a child was sold for $1.93 million, nearly $1.1 million above the price paid by developer Tommy Lin last year.
The former childhood home of Donald Trump in Jamaica Estates has changed hands for $1.93 million, according to listing agent Joe Zhu. Developer Tommy Lin purchased the vacant, pipe-damaged property for $835,000 in 2025 and spent over $500,000 renovating it, adding a chef’s kitchen, herringbone floors and spa-like bathrooms while preserving the Tudor exterior. After being relisted at $1.99 million, the house attracted numerous prospective buyers who were drawn by its link to the president, with some viewing it as a piece of history.
The 3,100-square-foot, five-bedroom, four-bath home was originally built by Fred Trump in 1940 and was occupied by Donald Trump until he was roughly four years old. It previously sold for $2.14 million in 2017, was listed on Airbnb, and later fell into disrepair before Lin’s overhaul.
