Drake Tops Latin Rhythm Chart for First Time with Karol G Collaboration

Drake achieved his inaugural number-one spot on Billboard’s Hot Latin Rhythm Songs chart thanks to the track “Ahi” with Karol G.

Karol G’s latest album includes the duet “Ahi” with Drake, which instantly claimed the number-one position on Billboard’s Hot Latin Rhythm Songs chart, giving the Canadian rapper his first entry and first top-ten on that specific ranking. The single also opened at the peak of both the Hot Latin Songs and Latin Streaming Songs charts, joining three earlier Drake-led tracks that have topped those lists. Apart from the Latin charts, “Ahi” entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 44, the Streaming Songs chart at No. 46, and the Global 200 at No. 103, further expanding Drake’s cumulative chart presence.

These additions raise his career totals to 403 Hot 100 entries, 310 Streaming Songs entries, and 185 Global 200 entries. Drake previously set a record by becoming the first artist with 400 Hot 100 hits, a milestone he continues to extend. The success underscores the growing crossover between mainstream hip-hop and Latin music markets.

Why it matters

Drake’s first Latin-rhythm chart-topper shows the expanding influence of cross-genre collaborations in U.S. music.
