Driver accused of 130 km/h crash that killed three children and an adult
A 20-year-old driver from Hulst is charged with causing a fatal collision at 130 km/h that resulted in four deaths and multiple injuries.
The suspect, identified as Reinaldas J., allegedly drove at 130 km/h before striking a group of schoolchildren and two chaperones during a camp in Vogelwaarde, Zeeland. The crash killed three 12-year-olds and one adult, while several others were injured. Prosecutors initially considered a cannabis-related charge, but blood tests showed THC levels below the legal limit, leading to that allegation being dropped.
