Driver crashes into three people at Ghaziabad fuel station after parking dispute
A speeding driver rammed a white Maruti Swift into three individuals at a Ghaziabad petrol pump following a disagreement over parking, leaving all three seriously injured.
Around 10 p.m. on Sunday, a group of youths arrived at a petrol station near Silver City on GT Road in Ghaziabad's Kotwali area. When the pump manager, Anurag Chaudhary, instructed driver Deepu to park his white Maruti Swift properly for refuelling, Deepu allegedly accelerated, turned sharply and collided with the attendant, Manoj Kumar, and two customers, Sanjesh Kumar and Vikash Kumar. The impact propelled one victim nearly five feet upward, and all three sustained serious injuries, prompting transport to the district hospital; Manoj was later moved to GS Medical College in Pilkhuwa.
CCTV footage captured the crash and the driver fleeing the scene. Police seized the Swift and detained Deepu, filing an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rash driving, acts endangering human life, and intentional property damage, while two diesel dispensers were also damaged.
