Driver in Anthony Joshua crash faces multiple charges as trial postponed

The magistrate court in Ogun State has postponed the trial of Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver of the SUV that collided with a stationary truck, injuring boxer Anthony Joshua and resulting in the deaths of his personal trainer Latif Ayodele and strength and conditioning coach Sina Ghami. The hearing, originally set for September 10, is now scheduled for November 17 as prosecutors continue to present charges of dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, and operating a vehicle without a valid national licence.

Kayode, 46, maintains his innocence. Police reports indicated the SUV attempted to overtake another vehicle before the impact. The group was on their way to Ogun State to see Joshua's father when the accident occurred, and both vehicles were removed from the scene before investigators arrived.
