A five-year-old child died after a car hit the vehicle they were riding in from behind on Jalan Kuching, and the driver of the offending car is receiving treatment at a private hospital while investigators continue their inquiry.

On Saturday afternoon, a vehicle carrying a five-year-old child and their father was rear-ended on Jalan Kuching as traffic slowed toward Segambut. The child, who was in the back seat, sustained critical head trauma and was later declared dead at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. The driver of the other car, a 24-year-old man, suffered a concussion and was admitted to a private hospital in Damansara for observation.
