Drone flights prohibited over East Yorkshire during Tour of Britain stage

For the third stage of the Tour of Britain, a NOTAM has been issued that forbids drone activity over East Yorkshire to an altitude of 2,700 ft (823 m). Riders will travel from Hull to Beverley, passing through towns like Withernsea, Hornsea and Skipsea between 08:45 and 15:45 BST, and any drone operator must seek clearance from Humberside Police. Officials say the measure is intended to maximise safety for the public, the cyclists and other aircraft, including police surveillance drones and aerial media crews.

The race, which began in Lincoln and will continue through the Yorkshire Dales and finish in Scotland, features brief road closures of about 30 to 40 minutes as the peloton moves through each locality. Local communities are hosting celebrations along the route while authorities enforce the temporary airspace restriction.
