Drone ignites massive fire at Wildberries warehouse in Russia's Tambov region

An unmanned aerial vehicle struck a Wildberries storage facility in the Tambov region of Russia, sparking a large blaze that engulfed about 100,000 square metres, equivalent to 14 soccer fields, according to Governor Evgeniy Pervyshov. The attack injured a single individual, and officials have not indicated whether the fire has been fully extinguished. The incident follows a series of drone attacks launched by Ukraine since mid-July against the country’s leading online retailers, now extending to Ozon as well.

These actions are intended to undermine Russia’s e-commerce sector, which remains one of the few growth areas amid a stagnant wartime economy. Nearby regions have also suffered drone-related casualties, with a man and a 14-year-old dying in Lipetsk and a woman killed in Belgorod. Both Moscow and Kyiv continue to deny that they are deliberately targeting civilians.
