Drone strike ignites fire at Nizhnekamsk industrial complex, killing two and injuring twelve
Overnight drones hit an industrial facility in Nizhnekamsk, sparking a fire that left two dead and twelve wounded.
In the early hours of September 13, drones flew over Nizhnekamsk in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan, followed by a series of explosions that ignited a fire at an industrial site. Local witnesses reported Russian air-defence activity around the city’s refinery district. The attack killed two people and injured twelve, according to regional officials, though the figures could not be independently verified.
Authorities did not specify which plant was struck, but the area houses major facilities such as TANECO, TAIF-NK and Nizhnekamskneftekhim. In response, the Russian aviation authority temporarily restricted flights at Nizhnekamsk, Kazan and Bugulma airports for safety reasons.
