DRX selects Singapore as regional headquarters to drive Southeast Asian e-sports and K-drama growth

DRX will establish its Southeast Asian headquarters in Singapore, opening a physical office by year-end and hiring locally from 2027 to boost its e-sports and K-drama operations across the region.

DRX announced that Singapore will serve as its Southeast Asian hub, with a physical office to open by the end of the year and local recruitment starting in 2027. The strategy includes expanding into neighboring Vietnam and Indonesia, creating domestic esports teams and establishing training academies to nurture regional talent. Parallel to its gaming push, DRX is expanding into digital entertainment, signing two K-drama projects that are projected to generate over S$10 million this year—about 20% of its S$46 million 2026 revenue forecast—and aiming for a 25% share by 2027.

The company, profitable since 2024, attributes earnings to a franchise-style league model, sponsorships, and its Seoul academy. Executives cite Singapore’s regulatory environment, talent pool and capital-market depth as key reasons for the location, while also hinting at a possible Singapore Exchange listing. Plans also involve recruiting Vietnamese and Indonesian players, with ambitions to acquire or partner with local teams and open further academies as the markets mature.

Why it matters

The expansion positions DRX to tap the fast-growing Southeast Asian gaming market and diversify revenue through K-drama content.
