Dubai-to-Tel Aviv Flight Experiences Violent Incident and Emergency Landing in Saudi Arabia

A FlyDubai Boeing 737 MAX 8 with roughly 180 passengers departed Dubai for Tel Aviv on Wednesday morning. Two hours and fifteen minutes into the flight, the plane began a rapid descent, prompting the crew to issue a general emergency signal and, shortly after, a code indicating unlawful interference. Israeli combat aircraft escorted the troubled flight to Tabuk regional airport in north-west Saudi Arabia, where it landed safely.

Passengers and on-board video later revealed blood-stained individuals wearing pilot attire and chaotic dialogue, leading Israeli intelligence services to treat the episode as a possible terrorist act. The pilot and co-pilot sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for care, while passengers received assistance on the ground and arrangements for a replacement aircraft were initiated.
