Dummy explosive discovered near Yabrud with flag referencing Hamas' Nukhba unit

After a tip about a potentially dangerous item near Yabrud in central Samaria, Israeli security forces from the Binyamin police station, the Israel Defense Forces and Border Police bomb squads arrived on the scene. The object turned out to be a dummy explosive, not a live device. It was accompanied by a flag bearing the Arabic text “Nukhba Battalion 07.10.26,” seemingly referencing the Hamas-affiliated Nukhba Force that spearheaded the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine who placed the item and their motives. The incident underscores ongoing security concerns in the West Bank. No injuries were reported.
