Dutch hospitals temporarily shut down digital services due to IT security issues
Several hospitals in the Netherlands have disabled online patient portals after encountering computer problems tied to system security.
The Frisius MC in Leeuwarden reported that security concerns forced it to temporarily turn off certain digital systems, preventing login to patient portals. Amphia Ziekenhuis in Breda also announced an IT outage and is working on a safe fix. Both institutions stress that no patient data has been compromised and that the disruptions are not the result of a hack.
