Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders signs with Saudi club Al Qadsiah

Tijjani Reijnders has left Manchester City to join Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah on a contract lasting until 2031.

Tijjani Reijnders, who featured for the Netherlands at the recent World Cup, has transferred from Manchester City to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Qadsiah. The deal, valued at 61 million euros, was confirmed after one outlet reporter saw the player at the Al Khobar club headquarters. Reijnders signed a contract that runs through 2031, despite having four years left on his City agreement that began when he joined from AC Milan in June 2025.

He missed City’s Community Shield loss after training apart from the first team. The move is part of a broader reshuffle in City’s midfield after Rodri moved to Barcelona, with the English club also linked to other midfield targets. Al Qadsiah is backed by Saudi oil giant Aramco and coached by former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.

Why it matters

The transfer highlights the growing financial pull of Saudi clubs and reshapes Manchester City’s midfield plans.
