Dutch racer pulls British driver from flaming Ferrari at Shanghai GT race

At the Shanghai International Circuit, British driver Ollie Millroy was involved in a crash during a China GT race that sent his Ferrari careening off the track and igniting. The blaze enveloped the vehicle, trapping Millroy inside. Dutch competitor Loek Hartog, seeing the fireball, halted his own race, unbuckled, and leapt from his car, risking his position to reach the wreckage.

After unsuccessfully pulling Millroy out, Hartog retrieved a fire extinguisher and helped contain the flames until emergency crews arrived. Together they extracted Millroy, who was later seen on a trackside wall with Hartog. Millroy suffered broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a broken hand and finger, and a bruised lung, and posted a gratitude message on X, calling Hartog a superhero. Hartog echoed his actions on social media, saying he acted instinctively to save a fellow driver.
